Counselling and bereavement support
At the Ayrshire Hospice, we know that hospice care isn’t just about physical health—it’s about what matters most to you, including your emotional wellbeing. Our counselling service is here to support anyone affected by a life-limiting illness, whether you have a diagnosis yourself or you’re a loved one navigating the emotions of loss and bereavement. You don’t need to have received hospice care to access our support.
Counselling is available at any stage—whether you want to talk through your feelings about illness and dying or need support to process grief.
We also offer specialist counselling for children and young people (aged 5-18) who are facing the loss of a loved one due to a life-limiting illness. Whether they are struggling with difficult emotions or need space to talk, our team is here to help. Referrals can be made by families, schools, or professionals supporting the young person.
However you’re feeling, you don’t have to go through it alone—we’re here to listen and help you find a way forward.
